We're baaaack!

Hey everyone out in transmog land,

I have some good news for all of you. We will be back up and running very soon. I think we may be leaving blogger though and posting to our own website. I'll let you all know as soon as I know what our final decision is. We're already making a mobile friendly page which is looking good so far. We are adding some new content providers too so we'll have plenty of armor ideas for you in the future. We're also branching out from what people have dubbed "slutmogs". Don't get me wrong we'll still have them because we love our sexy transmogs but we also know not everyone is into them. There will also be mens transmogs added to our page soon. We don't want to leave the guys out of the fun. We'd also love to see what sets you have created. Send us a picture of your wonderful armor sets and a list of what the mog pieces are and you could be featured on our page as well. We really want to make this a great source for transmogging.

 Happy Mogging,

In case you were wondering

There was no post on the 1st this month because I was packing and moving. I didn't have time to finish the set I was working on. I also most likely won't be able to post next month because of money (meaning no WoW) and still unpacking. I'll be back as soon as I can. Please stick with us while we get thing situated.

Happy mogging,

Outrunner's Set

So the next set we're going to discus will be the mail Outrunner's set which is a War Paint Recolor.

Let me start by saying buy as much of it that you can. It has such a low drop rate and most people that do get it are after a different set so they post these pieces for sale on the auction house. I wanted this primarily to go with my perverse looking staff. It's skimpy and matches my staff colors closer than anything else I have found.

I bought 3 pieces off the auction house and got the rest to drop off of Balboa in multiples and Northwatch Bodyguard.

Balboa is a quest mob in Azshara that has a 60 second spawn rate. So if you are willing to take that route put on headphones and grab a good book, your knitting or whatever and farm the hell out of him but be forewarned, I never got the pants to drop. They only have a .2% drop rate so no big surprise. I did however get several pieces for other sets that are also skimpy and also multiples of Outrunner's set pieces I already had.

Well, let's get this post rolling now.

Outrunner's ChestguardThis piece I got in Blackfathom Deeps. It dropped pretty quickly. What more can I really say. It was probably the easiest piece to farm.

Outrunner's Legguards: So these pants were the last piece I got of the set. I farmed Balboa for 2 months and finally moved to the Northwatch Bodyguards. I farmed them for 2 days straight and BAM! I got the pants then freaked out because my set was finally complete.
OR
Cobalt Legguards: These legs are a duplicate to the set legs but they are so freaking easy to get... that's if you haven't done the quest already(which I had done prior to getting this set and regret not keeping the legs). The two quest chain is in Ashenvale with Senani Thunderheart who is standing under a small tent just outside/accros the road from the main building in Silverwind Refuge. It starts with Thinning the...herd? and ends with King of the Foulweald.

Outrunner's Cuffs: This piece is pretty hard to farm and not really worth the work since it is hidden by the gloves. If you wish to farm it anyways it drops in Wailing Caverns with a .16% to .3% drop rate.

Outrunner's Cord: This is a piece I have seen pop up in the Auction House several times. That's where I got mine from but you can get it from 2 places, Cannoneer Smythe (Horde Only) in the Southern Barrens with a 3% drop rate or Wailing Caverns with a .2% to .6% drop rate.

Outrunner's Gloves: These drop in Wailing Caverns with a drop rate of .14% to .7%. I got mine off the Auction House though.

Outrunner's Slippers: These drop off the Teraptor Matriarch (11% drop rate) on the Lost Isle as well as in Wailing Caverns with a .08% to .4% drop rate but I again got mine off the Auction House because it was just easier.

Outrunner's Cloak: This piece drops off of mobs in Wailing Caverns and Ragefire Chasm with a .11% to .3% drop rate. Mine came out of Ragefire Chasm while I was farming other pieces for future sets I'll be posting.

The set can be farmed in Black Fathom Deeps and a couple pieces in Wailing Caverns. Before I get too into details here let me tell you that this set is not for the faint of heart or the easily discouraged.

Azure Shoulderguards: Since the Outrunner's Shoulderguards are white you can't use them but these are the lookalikes. You get them by completing a Swords Deck and turning it in to the Darkmoon Faire. I'm sure there is probably a better matching shoulder(maybe) but these work well still.

Medusoid Staff: This was the beginning of my outfit. I looked long and hard for a set to match this staff. You get this staff by completing Come Hell or High Water quest in the southern part of Kelp'Thar Forest in Vashj'ir. The quest giver is Rendel Firetongue in Gnaws Boneyard.

Lord's set

Today I'm going to show you the Lord's Mail set. This set can be found in the auction house at times. I'd highly recommend just stalking the auction house for this one since it drops off rare spawns around the world. My husband did this set too and oh boy did he work for these pieces. It's not a set for the easily bored.

Lord's Crown - Level 45-51 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Pauldrons - Level 49-53 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Breastplate - Level 50-53 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Girdle - Level 47-51 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Armguards - Level 46-49 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Gauntlets - Level 47-51 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Legguards - Level 49-53 rare spawns around the world.
Lord's Boots - Level 48-54 rare spawns around the world.

Sorry no weapons this time.

Cindercloth set...with a few add-ons

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the the missed post. Nasmina is in the middle of packing for the great move half way across the country. I'll be making the same move in about a month so I'm going to try and get a few posts ready to go so I don't need to worry about working on those and moving. Because of the rushed nature I'm sad to say I didn't get this exactly how I wanted but I think it still looks good.

Now to the whole reason you came here the Cindercloth set with a few added pieces to complete the look. We'll start with the actual set pieces.

Cindercloth VestTailoring pattern taught by Twilight Fire Guard in Searing Gorge.
Cindercloth Gloves - Tailoring pattern taught by Twilight Fire Guard in Searing Gorge.
Cindercloth PantsTailoring pattern taught by Thaurissian Firewalker in Burning Steppes.
Cindercloth BootsTailoring pattern taught by any tailoring trainer.
Cidercloth Cloak - Tailoring pattern taught by Thaurissian Firewalker in Burning Steppes.

Now for the add-ons and/or replacements.

Cowl of the Grand Engineer - from the Tirisfal Regalia (recolor) set. It drops off Void Reaver in The Eye.

Glowing Magical Bracelets - I found this in the auction house but you can get it from random mobs in Desolace, Hinterlands, Southern Barrens...basically any area between level 26-34.

Archmage Mantle - From the Archmage Regalia set. I bought it from the auction house but it's best drop rates are off of trash in Hyjal Summit, Karazah, Botanica and Black Temple.

Windchaser Cinch - This is the best belt I could find on short notice. It is part of the Windchaser Regalia. Again I got this from the auction house but you can get it from pretty much any mob in Razorfen Downs.

Braxxis' Staff of Slumber - I got lucky and found this while browsing the auction house. From looking around it's got such a low drop rate (0.01% to 0.03%) in such a vast area (all of Outlands including instances that you may want to just buy it instead of farming it.

Now a different look

Fire Striders - Drops off Balnazzar in Stratholme. A better pair of boots for the set, in my opinion.

Whitemane's Chapeau - Drops off High Inquisitor Whitemane in Scarlet Monastery Cathedral.

Gloves of the High Magus - This is from a series of quest lines. You start with the chain of quests from Blood Guard Gulmok who is just outside of the Shadowmoon Valley village. He unlocks the quest chain for Scout Zagran. Once you are done with him you go back to Blood Guard Gulmok and floow that quest line until you get to News of Victory. That is the quest that you get the gloves from. I like these gloves better than the Cindercloth ones.

Girdle of Prophecy - Personally I like this belt a whole lot better but I was putting the set on my mage so that didn't work because it's for Priests only and I didn't have time to find a better one. I got this piece from the auction house but you can get it from pretty much anything in Molten Core. This belt is part of a different set called Vestments of Prophecy. If you are a priest you can use the gloves and bracers instead of what I have listed for a cooler look.

Earthmender's Bracer of Shattering - Reward from Escape from Coilskar Cistern. I just found this while looking around but I've already done this quest so it's too late for me to get it. It's an escort quest. You go into the Coilskar Cistern. Go to the bottom of the cave. Kill Keeper of the Cistern. Then wait for Earthmender Wilda to become interactive, accept the quest and escort her out. Bing bang boom you have cool new braces.

Darkcrest Plate set

In our first transmog post we'll talk about the Darkcrest set.
It's a BOE set and I included some extra pieces to go with it. One of the extras is BOP so you will have to farm that yourself. The pictures are of my husband's toon. He found a lot of the pieces in the auction house and farmed up the rest within a week. This set is pretty skimpy with great color combinations. This same skin was used for the mail Chief Brigadier set, except for the head piece, so if you like it and wear mail go for that one.

Now for more pics and how to get the pieces.
Darkcest Helm - Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; HR being top.
Darkcest Breastplate - Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; HR being top.
Darkcest Legguards - Slave Pens, Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; SP being top. There is Ango'rosh Warlock in the Northwest corner of Zangarmarsh that has a higher drop rate.
Darkcest Bracers - Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; HR being top.
Darkcest Pauldrons - Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; BF being top.
Darkcest Belt - Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; BF being top.
Darkcest Sabatons - Slave Pens, Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; SP being top.
Darkcest Gauntlets - Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace have the best drop rates; HR being top.

 Extras:

Illidari Cloak - BOE dropped by Chief Engineer Lorthander who can be found at the Manaforges in Netherstorm.
Ravager - BOP from Herod in Scarlet Monastery Armory.
Fel Iron Greatsword - BOE created by Blacksmiths. The pattern is learned from a trainer at 320.

That is our first set. I hope you like it and it helps you get your character looking the way you want. The next installment of World of Mogcraft will be posted on the 15th.We'll see you then.

In the beginning...

...there were 2 girls looking to create awesome skimpy sets of gear for their WoW toons (a mail wearer and a leather wearer). They had the hardest time doing so. That was when they decided to create this this blog so others wouldn't have to feel the same frustration and longing.

This blog is dedicated to helping others, like ourselves, who want a certain look to their gear on WoW and either can't find it or did find it but the directions to get it are vague or incorrect. We'll be posting 2 outfits a month, on the 1st and 15th of the month. Some will be actual sets and some will be armor pieces that look good together. We'll be starting off with skimpy sets. We always like input so if there is a look you'd like to see or if you want to show off your set feel free to contact us. We'll do our best to get your toons looking hot in no time. Stay tuned for our first outfit post.

Now for a little about us.

Midnightbomb
Hey there,

My name(or rather my main toon's name) is Midnightbomb. I'm a mother, wife, cat lover, crafter, gamer and guild leader in WoW. I have been playing WoW since 2007. I have always longed to have gear look a certain way but still have the stats needed to boost a toons ability. Enter transmogrification. I'm so jazzed that WoW has finally made this possible. My hardest work has been looking for just the right set for my toons. Now my hard work will help you. I'll be posting on the 1st of every month.

Nasmina

Greetings,

I have been playing WOW for seven years and in that time, I have learned two things. First, I am a Night Elf trapped in a troll's body. Second, wearing skimpy clothes is something that benefits everyone. I will be posting on the 15th of every month and plan to emphasize items that are obtainable by farming by yourself in heroics and dungeons. Who wants to make a raid group for manties?
